Two Virginia police officers charged in connection with the riot at the Capitol

Two off-duty police officers in Virginia were charged with the murderous violation of the U.S. Capitol on Jan.6.

Rocky Mount police officers Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson were arrested Wednesday after they were pictured inside the Capitol making an obscene gesture in front of John Stark’s statute, the United States attorney’s office for the District of Columbia. ad.

A photo included as an exhibit in the criminal complaint released by the authorities shows the men posing in front of the statue with their fingers raised.

In a social media post included in the complaint, Robertson said: “CNN and the left are just angry because we actually attacked the government which is the problem and not some random small business … The right IN ONE DAY took the f — — United States Capitol. Keep pushing us.

He also said he was “proud” of the photo in an Instagram post that was shared on Facebook because he was “ready to put his skin in the game.”

In another Facebook post, Fracker said, “Lol to anyone who might be concerned about the photo of me going around… sorry, I hate freedom? … Not like I’ve done anything illegal… you do whatever you need to do. This post has since been abolished, but was also an exhibit in connection with the criminal complaint.

Robertson admitted to Newsweek that he and Fracker sent the photo to colleagues in the police department and posted it on his own Facebook page after his leak, according to the complaint.

The complaint also states that Robertson claimed he did not break any laws and was escorted by police, “despite his previous messages that he had ‘attacked the government’ and ‘taken the f —— Capitol ”.

Both men were charged with one count of knowingly entering or staying in any building or restricted land without legal authorization and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

DC’s U.S. Attorney’s Office has accused more than 70 cases following the attack on the United States Capitol which left five dead, the FBI opened investigations into more than 170 people.
