FRISCO, Texas – Two months after an incident at a bar in Panama City Beach, Florida, Tyrone Crawford was charged with the crime of unlawful assembly.

According to reports, the online records indicate that Crawford was charged on March 28 and pleaded not guilty. The indictment arose from an incident in which Crawford allegedly punched in a bar fight at Coyote Ugly.

It remains to be seen what the legal consequences will be, if any. Crawford has a preparatory hearing scheduled for June 13th.

As has been well documented at this point, the NFL often operates independently of the justice system. Crawford may face league discipline for violating the personal conduct policy, although the NFL has not commented on it for the moment.

Crawford has been with the Cowboys since 2012, when he was drafted in the third round of Boise State. He is captain of the team since 2017.
