WASHINGTON (WRDW / WAGT) – Tyson Foods is recalling nearly 12 million pounds of frozen ready-to-eat chicken strips that may contain pieces of metal, the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said Saturday. ) the United States.

Frozen and ready-to-eat chicken strips were produced at different dates from October 1, 2018 to March 8, 2019 and have "use-by dates" from October 1, 2019 to March 7, 2020.
Recalled products are marked with the establishment number "P-7221" on the back of the product packaging. These items have been shipped to Department of Defense sales outlets and departments nationally, for institutional purposes, as well as to the US Virgin Islands.
In a press release on Saturday, FSIS said officials had discovered the possibility of contamination after two consumer complaints, but they are aware of six complaints about pieces of metal that allegedly caused injuries to the mouth.
If you bought ready-to-eat chicken strips, you must return them to the store or simply dispose of them.
