Tyson ready-to-eat chicken, certain HEB products recalled due to possible listeria contamination

Texas – HEB announced the withdrawal of certain products from its stores after Tyson Foods Inc. recalled nearly 8.5 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products that may have been contaminated with listeria.

According to the press release, the recall involves certain Tyson Foods products and certain HEB brand products sold at HEB stores and South Flo Pizza branches in Texas.

HEB stated that the affected Meal Simple items were produced from January 28, 2021 to July 4, 2021, and Tyson Foods brand frozen and fully cooked branded products were produced between December 26, 2020 and April 13, 2021.

While there have been illnesses related to this recall issued by Tyson Foods, there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions associated with HEB store products.
