Tyson Foods, Inc. recalls approximately 11,829,517 million pounds of frozen and ready-to-eat chicken strips that may be contaminated with pieces of metal.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) of the United States Department of Agriculture announced today that frozen and ready-to-eat chicken strips had been produced at different dates from October 1, 2018 to March 8, 2019 and had the expiry date from October 1, 2019 to March 7, 2020.

RECALLED PRODUCT LABELS
Recalled products are marked with the establishment number "P-7221" on the back of the product packaging.
They have been sent to National Defense sales outlets and Departments for institutional purposes, as well as to the US Virgin Islands.
The problem was discovered when FSIS received two consumer complaints about foreign material contained in the chicken strips. FSIS is now aware of six complaints during this period regarding similar metal parts and three others concerning oral injuries.
Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a health care provider.
FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumer freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products must be discarded or returned to the place of purchase.
