U-Turn: Undecided Apple Removes Samsung's Galaxy S21 From Beats Studio Buds Ad

Surprise or not – what Apple has done is perhaps even more impactful and revealing. To date, the image of a model holding a Galaxy S21 in one hand while listening to music on the new Beats Studio Buds no longer appears on the product’s Amazon page!

Interestingly, the photo that featured the Galaxy S21 was not replaced with another image. Instead, there’s now just a gap between the two different paragraphs as if he’s there to illustrate the broken relationship between Apple and Android, or at least Apple and Samsung.

Apple’s or Beats actions don’t necessarily mean the image was an “error,” but it does show that they certainly didn’t like it making the headlines. We certainly can’t blame them, but also – why was the photo there in the first place? It seemed too intentional to be wrong and too strange to be true.

Does Apple want to be associated with Android?

Frankly, we still don’t know what to make of it, but one thing’s for sure – Apple doesn’t seem to like being associated with Android too much. Maybe, just enough to sell Beats headphones to Android users, but not enough to use Samsung phones to advertise them.

It should also be noted that Apple’s support page on Apple.com now uses an LG G6 for illustrations. It’s not that bad – at least it’s not the lousy Android phone that made an appearance alongside an iPhone 12 during WWDC. Is Apple using an LG phone for artwork to say … “Android is dead”?

Ultimately, we’re curious to see how this one develops, and we’ll keep you posted in case Apple contacts us or updates the Beats Studio Buds announcement with new photos.
