(Reuters) – The UAE Sheikh Zayed Book Award announced Monday the long list of the Arts Service of the Thirteenth Session (2018-2019), which included 13 narrative works out of 382, mostly from Egypt, the Lebanon, Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
The list included the poetry collection (The Arani) of the Egyptian Ahmed Alshahawi and the novel (I'm calling Fatima) of Egyptian Amr Adli and the novel (warm hand) of the Palestinian Yahya Yakhlef and the novel (Tarter) of the Iraqi Nizar Abdul Sattar and the novel (happy plot) for the Yemeni Wajdi Al-Sadal Nizar Agri.
Hoda Barakat's novel "Night of the night" and Lebanese poet Muhammad Ali Shamseddine's collection of poems (The Chair on Butter) and Saudi Arabia's novel "The murderous Rose" Ibrahim Shahabi and the novel " Divers divers "from Saudi Arabia Amal Al-Faran.
It also included the book "The morning of the war" of Maha Hassan (Syria) and the biographical book "The Self between being and the discovery" of the Moroccan Bensalem Hamish and the novel "The Prophet". Anam Kaghi.
The award, which constitutes the most valuable material in the field of writing in Arabic, was announced earlier in its long list in the fields of (children's literature) and (studies on the arts and the currency) and (development and strengthening of the state).
The total value of the price in its various branches is seven million dirhams (about 1.9 million dollars).
