Amman – Tomorrow– The Kingdom receives 32 low-cost flights a week to Amman and Aqaba, as well as scheduled airlines, which are expected to contribute to the revitalization of tourism in Aqaba and the Golden Triangle region, said Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, and then to the rest of the tourist areas of the kingdom.
Arabiyat added that the Kingdom was experiencing a quantum leap in the tourism movement due to higher bookings rates at high and very active levels.
According to Arabiyat, the arrival of low-cost aircraft, carrying on board and the maximum passenger capacity and 180 tourists for the trip is a positive indicator of this project, in which the Commission is working on marketing programs integrating Jordan into these new destinations.
He added that this milestone reflected joint efforts to meet the needs and requirements of tourists, which has enabled us to ensure that the Kingdom meets the needs of a broader segment of potential tourists whose effects positive effects will be felt on the national economy and the tourism sector in particular.
Arabiyat said that the operation of these low-cost lines comes after a joint effort of the Tourism Promotion Authority (RTA) and Rayne Air and EasyJet, which operates within the air transport system at low cost that provides basic passenger services.
Arabiyat said these lines would help increase the number of tourists to Aqaba and boost the commercial movement, which would positively impact the various economic sectors and facilitate the flow of investors to and from Aqaba.
Arabiyat pointed out that this achievement came in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and concerned parties within tourism tourist sites, at the same time highlighting the role of the authority of the region from Aqaba through its distinctive efforts of supporting tourism.
