Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema appears to be leaving the Royal Football Club during the summer transfer market, as many clubs are seeking service this summer.

The Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport said in a report on its website that representatives of Karim Benzema had met officials from Milan on Monday and that the French confirmed that he was ready to play in Italy.

The newspaper added in its report that Milan should equal the budget to avoid EU sanctions, before signing with Karim Benzema or Alvaro Morata, especially after approval of the petition submitted by Milan.

The newspaper said in its report on Karim Benzema that he was waiting for the possibility of the transfer of veteran defender Leonardo Bonucci to Paris Saint-Germain to settle in the ranks of the Rossoneri, where the cost of Karim Benzema is about 45 million euros.

Karim Benzema, 30, left Lyon for Real Madrid in 2009. The Frenchman played 412 Real Madrid appearances in all competitions, scoring 193 goals and 114 goals, and winning 17 titles.
