The YouTube interface has changed several times, whether on desktop version or via mobile apps
Chris Peterson, technical director at Mozilla, said through a series of twitter tweets that YouTube's performance on the Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge browser is about 5 times slower than in a Google's Chrome browser
Peterson attributed this to the fact that YouTube pages are based on Shadow DOM v0 code, which is only available in the Chrome browser, which helps Google's web browser better function.
While Google can easily transfer the old version of YouTube to Firefox and EDGE, the giant company is satisfied with the current situation.
However, users with slow YouTube browsing can download special desktop extensions for Chrome and EDGE browsers that provide the updated update and temporarily fix the problem.
Do you use another browser and are you experiencing this problem? We shared your experience with the comments.
The loading of the YouTube page is 5 times slower in Firefox and Edge than in Chrome, because the redesign of Polymer is based on the deprecated Shadow DOM v0 API implemented in Chrome. You can restore the faster pre-polymer design of YouTube with this Firefox extension: https://t.co/F5uEn3iMLR
