Salah scored the first goal in the 10th minute and Sadeo Mani added the second goal in the 66th minute, Cardiff City's only goal being Paterson in the 77th minute and Shakeri returned to score the third goal in the 85th minute.
Mani added his second goal and fourth in the 87th minute.
