22.8 million subscriptions to telecommunication services at the end of August

The number of mobile, fixed and mobile subscriptions in the country reached 22.84 million at the end of August, down 2.8% or 655.8 thousand, compared to 23.495 million at the end of December 2017.

TRA statistics showed that the number of mobile subscriptions decreased by 672.99 thousand subscribers.

From 19.826 million at the end of December to 19.15 million at the end of August, with a penetration rate of 216.9 lines per 100 inhabitants. The number of prepaid mobile subscribers to telecommunications operators reached 15.73 million at the end of August, while subscriptions to subscriptions reached 3.419 million.

Internet subscriptions to telecom operators registered 1.36 million subscriptions at the end of August, up 1% from 1.348 million at end-December 2017. Broadband subscriptions accounted for all subscriptions and penetration rate was 15.4 per 100 inhabitants.
