US stocks have come to the fore, with Chinese statistics raising concerns about global growth a day after the US Federal Reserve suggested a gradual increase in borrowing costs.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average <.DJI> is down 42.11 points, or 0.16%, to 26,149.11.

The Standard & Poor's 500 index yielded 12.73 points, or 0.45%, to 2,794.10.

The Nasdaq composite index reported 7,468.51 points, or 62.37 points, or 0.83%.
