The Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) today concluded six diamond auctions in collaboration with the Stargames Group, with sales exceeding 2 million carats of rough diamonds purchased from Anhui Congo Mining Company.

More than 200 companies specializing in the diamond trade attended the call for bids, which was overseen by the Dubai Diamond Exchange, according to a statement released by the stock market.

DMCC has recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with Stargames, diamond supplier, for the organization of a series of calls for tenders for rough diamonds.

The agreement allows members, mining companies and international suppliers to trade rough diamonds and distribute them at Stargames events organized by the Dubai Diamond Exchange at its headquarters located at Diamond Tower in Dubai.

In the first nine months of 2018, the Dubai Diamond Exchange recorded an increase in rough diamond tender offerings, with total sales approaching $ 200 million, up 75% from 2017.

Dubai is the third largest diamond trading center in the world, with a turnover of $ 16.7 billion in 2017 in the trade and circulation of rough diamonds, according to a statement issued by the Dubai Multi Commodities Center .

The Dubai Diamond Exchange is the only Middle East Diamond Scholarship to be accredited to the World Federation of Diamond Scholarships and provides its members with the infrastructure, products and services needed to grow their business and to conduct business transactions with confidence.
