UAE-Abu Dhabi, 14 November 2010 (WAM) – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Commander-in-Chief of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, the first session of Alliance of Religions for Community Safety: November 19-20.
Approximately 450 people from different denominations will participate in the forum to enrich the dialogue, confront and discuss serious social issues, promote joint efforts and develop common ideas to strengthen the protection of societies, especially young people, against extortion via the digital world and the dangers of the Internet.
The event will coincide with the International Children's Day, to be held between the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center and the Oasis of Al Karama, with the participation of the great Imam Dr. Ahmad Al -Tayeb, the great Sheikh of Al Azhar, and Archbishop of Constantinople, Archbishop of Constantinople. The second pope of Alexandria and patriarch of evangelical preaching, as well as a number of representatives of religions and religious leaders from around the world.
The forum is supported by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and is launched in partnership with a number of international religious institutions, organizations and organizations, including the Alliance for the Dignity of the Child, the NGO Argito International, the Global Network of Religions for Children and the Organization "We Protect and End" Violence against Children, UNICEF, Religions for Peace, the Pontifical Gregorian University, Al-Azhar University, World Vision International, Shanti Ashram and the International Justice Mission.
The conference "Alliance of Religions for Community Safety" is the result of the conference "Childhood in the digital world" held in October 2017. The "Declaration of Rome" was approved by Pope Francis. The religions and their willingness to hold a global forum affirming their willingness to advance interfaith dialogue and action, where their efforts have resulted in the Alliance of Religions being one of the outcomes of this conference.
