ENOC wins Golden Peacock Award for Sustainability

ENOC has won the Golden Peacock Sustainability Award for the second consecutive year in the International Enterprise Awards category, in recognition of its ongoing efforts to promote sustainable development practices within the Group's operations at all levels.

The award was presented by Dr. Wadah Ghanem, Executive Director – Sustainability, Quality and Institutional Excellence at ENOC at a ceremony held at Marble Arch in London.

ENOC wants to improve energy efficiency since 2014, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 150,000 tonnes. We are always committed to exploring all opportunities for improving energy efficiency and resource management. Sustainability is an essential part of our strategy and one of our top priorities in everything we do.

This award is the culmination of the sustainable development initiatives implemented by the Group over the last few years, including the launch of the Sustainable Development Performance Report, which included the identification of business objectives. sustainable development within the group for 2018. The report revealed an improvement in stakeholder awareness through a five-fold increase in the relationship analysis report, reflects a significant shift towards the adoption of concepts of durability.

In addition, the Group achieved significant savings in water and electricity consumption of 87,800 cubic meters of water and 12.5 million kW of electricity, over the period 2014-2017. One of the key factors that enabled ENOC to win this award is a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of 28%, with a 17% reduction in waste over the same period.
