Bahrain has signed an agreement to purchase the latest technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous tumors for a total cost of more than 4 million BD. He added that the King Hamad Cancer Center was about to launch the last two cancer treatment systems at the global medical level. Bahrain will be the fifth country in the world to have its medical facilities and to offer its services free of charge to its patients. He explained that the oncology center had agreed with the manufacturer to manufacture a special device for the Kingdom of Bahrain and that it will be installed very soon.
He pointed out that the purchase of medical devices also includes a second type of device, which is located in only three countries and will be launched at the Center of Oncology after six months. It will cost between two and 600,000 Bahraini dinars and one of the latest medical equipment for the treatment and diagnosis of cancer in the world.
According to modern medical indicators, the incidence of cancer is high: the King Hamad Cancer Center receives between 50 and 60 patients per day, while 700 to 800 cases are discovered each year compared to previous years, most of which are cancers. breast.
He revealed a project to study for early detection of cancer by providing a radiometer in one of Bahrain's leading commercial complexes, providing a free service for all and revealing early tumors.
On drugs, he said that Bahrain had all the cancer drugs and was suffering from no deficiency of any kind.
