LONDON (Reuters) – Manchester United have proposed the option of activating a one – year extension of Spanish goaltender David Deja 's contract, according to British media reports.
De Chia's current contract ends at the end of the season, allowing him to sign a contract with any other club before January 1st.
The BBC said the decision still clouded the future of United's 28-year-old goalkeeper and the possibility of his leaving the team in the next transfer slot.
De Chia joined Manchester United in 2011, coming from Atletico Madrid and has won the title of player of the year in the English Premier League in four seasons over the past five seasons.
