India sweeps Thailand by four and leads group A

India beat Thailand 4-1 on Sunday in the first round of Group A of the 2019 Asian Cup.

Sunil Chitri scored in the 27th minute with a penalty kick and Thailand tied by Terasil Dangda in the 33rd minute. Silil Chitri added the Indian team's second goal in the 47th minute and Aneroda Thapa scored the third goal of the Indian team in the 68th minute. Indian goals via Gigi for 80 minutes.

The Indian team won its first three points in the group lead by two points against the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, who drew 1-1 at the opening of the tournament and the Thai team remained without points at the bottom of the ranking.
