China does not stop working, scientists are interested in almost everything, but the latest ambitious project unveiled at the China International Air Show is the strangest yet.

China unveiled its project "Tianhe" and translated it into Arabic, "the river of the sky". It's about transferring clouds from one place to another, from rainy areas to dry areas, for example, and where it's going.

Officials hope the project will become a reality after four years, with plans to move the rain to drought-affected areas, the Mirror newspaper reported.

According to the Chinese press, 6 satellites will work to form an air corridor through which clouds pass from anywhere to the desired location.

The Academy of Technology International Aviation Shanghai said it hoped to achieve this goal in 2022 and that the first two satellites would be launched in 2020.

Satellites will be able to detect the presence of water in the air and then cross the corridor to the northern region of Sanjiang Yuan in Qinghai Province.

State media have announced that rain-laden clouds will be transported thousands of kilometers away.

At the China International Aviation Exhibition, the ambitious project was presented under the supervision of Professor Wang Guangkin, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
