WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Two or three additional interest rate hikes are likely to reduce US borrowing costs to a "neutral" level that neither stimulates nor limits economic growth, said Friday. Federal Reserve Chairman Robert Kaplan.

At a seminar hosted by the Manhattan Institute, Kaplan said it expects the two or three additional increases to be made by June 2019.

He added that he had not yet decided whether the Fed should raise its interest rates above the neutral level.
