Romello has not scored in eight games, while Manchester United sided Tuesday against Juventus in the Champions League, but his coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed his confidence in the return of the striker Belgian.
Mourinho said the 25-year-old striker was suffering at all levels, but declined to question his own efforts.
"It's not just about scoring goals, but also about self-confidence, movement and touch," Mourinho told reporters after United's 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
"It does not help the team in the game, but it's our striker, a good striker and we trust him."
"Romello is a serious person who plays professionally and will come back to the recording one day and restore trust."
United welcomes Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
