In the first 10 months of 2018, the CPI stood at 3.6% in the first ten months of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017. The index reached 111 , 8% over the period, compared to 107.9% for the same period in 2017, according to Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi statistics.

The report also summarized the contribution of the twelve major expenditure groups classified according to the international classification "Classification of per capita consumption". "Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels" contributed to a 34.5% reduction in inflation during the first 10 months of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017 due to the drop in price of housing,, electricity, gas and other fuels' by 3.7%.
The Center's report showed that consumer prices for households in the "disadvantaged" sectors of social protection increased by 3.0% in the first ten months of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017. Prices also increased by 3.4% in the "middle". 3.9% in the top bracket of social assistance.
In contrast, the rise in consumer prices in the first ten months of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017 of consumer prices of domestic households increased by 4.1% and affected the same period consumption for non-citizen households and collective households. 3.2% and 3.0%, respectively.
According to the report of the Center, the region of Abu Dhabi contributed 43.6% of the overall price increase in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, or 3.6% in the first 10 month of 2018 compared to the same period in 2017. While the Al Ain region contributes 48.4% and the Al Dhafra region 8.0% of the total increase over the same period.
