Al-Ittihad Newspaper – Vettel records the best time for Abu Dhabi evening trials

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time on the first day of Pirelli tires at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

The tests began two days after the end of the 2018 season of the Formula One World Championship.

Lewis Hamilton was crowned world champion for the fifth time in a row and his team continued to dominate the manufacturers category.

Felipe Potas of Finland set the fastest time of the morning practice in one minute and 37,231 seconds before Vettel won the nightly try in one minute and 36,812 seconds.

In the evening, Botas finished second and Force Stall's Force Stallock pilot Dennis Stroll was third and Red Bull Max Verstapen fourth.
