Annual inflation in Egyptian cities continues its upward trend, reaching 17.7% in October against 16% in September the latest information

The Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics said that annual consumer price inflation in cities had risen from 16% in September to 17.7%.

Compared with the previous month, consumer price inflation in Egyptian cities was 2.6% in October, compared with 2.5% in September.

Prices of vegetables and fruits in Egypt are increasing.

Recently, the government has raised prices for petroleum products, subway tickets, water and electricity, as well as many services provided to citizens.
