Apple plans to unveil its first iPhone 5G, which will be announced by 2020, according to AppleNew magazine published by Fast Company.

According to an anonymous source, the US magazine claims that the Intel 8161 10 nm modem chip will be used exclusively on future Apple phones. Apple has been using modems from Qualcomm and Intel since 2016.

The current tests are done on a slightly older 8060 chip and the results are not very encouraging, but the source says that Intel believes in its ability to solve the problem over time, but Apple will turn to MediaTek in as an alternative chip supplier if the problem persists.

Apple is taking a slow approach to supporting fifth-generation networks, and the American society still adheres to a conservative approach.
