Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon hailed the three attacks in Liverpool and confirmed he was the best in the world, ahead of his three teams, Paris St Germain Neymar, Kilian Mbabey and Edison Cavani.
Paris Saint-Germain Buffon should face Liverpool on Wednesday in the fifth round match of the Champions League in Paris.
In an interview with Mirror newspaper, the veteran Italian goalkeeper, who has played for many world-wide strikers for 24 years, said Liverpool had a better line than their French counterpart.
This is a remarkable recognition from the veteran goalkeeper, especially as Neymar and Mbabee are the most expensive players in the world and are part of the history of the game. The Brazilian joined St Germain Barcelona for 222 million euros, Mbabi of Monaco for 180 million euros and Cavani is one of the leading strikers in the world.
But the 40-year-old goalkeeper said: "Liverpool have a very strong team, but I'm focusing on the trio of attacks, in the presence of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mani and Roberto Fermino, the team is showing of a lot of speed and creativity and, of course, everyone threatens the goal.
"Throughout my career, I've always wanted to measure myself to the best, and for the moment, you can not think of any team from Europe having a more powerful attack than Liverpool."
The English club has signed an offensive at three for an amount of about 100 million pounds, a figure that does not even represent half the value of Neymar, the Paris Saint-Germain costing 400 million pounds.
However, Buffon considers Liverpool to be one of the favorites to win the title, although the Italian goalkeeper dreams of ending his career with a win in the Champions League title, which he has failed several times.
"This season, I see Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City are the favorites to win the title and we can not forget Real Madrid," said the former goalkeeper of Juventus.
"Of course, I still dream of winning the Champions League.Last season, I thought it would be my last chance, but now I have another chance."
