"Community development" increases the skills of stakeholders

The Ministry of Community Development organized the 7th Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations and Organizations on "Mental Health and Professional Competence of Human Rights Employees", organized by the Social Development Center in Jumeirah, under the auspices of the ministry.
Organized every year to support the rehabilitation centers of non-governmental owners approved by the ministry, this forum addresses each time an important aspect which improves and enriches the educational and pedagogical environment of these institutions in order to set up better mechanisms for Exchange of information and experiences in order to develop the services provided to the owners.
Wafa Bin Sulaiman, director of the ministry's sponsorship department, said the UAE government, when launching the national policy for the empowerment of people with disabilities, was committed to active participation and to seek equal opportunities in a community providing a decent life for themselves and their families. Hence the importance of the Forum, which we all share under its auspices.
Dr. Hind Al Rustamani, director of the Zayed University Student Advisory Center, and a family and psychological counselor, spoke to the directors and specialists of the stakeholder rehabilitation centers.
Presentations at the forum included the session "International Standards for Workers' Professional Competencies with Stakeholders", moderated by Mr. Hanan al-Jawhar, Director of the Al-Ghad Center for Rehabilitation of Stakeholders, and a discussion paper on "Intimidation" presented by Mahmoud al-Shayeb, to the Ministry of Community Development, addressed to the administrative and technical staff of schools and centers.
Erlen's Syndrome was presented by Mona Kazem, Consultant for Learning Disorders and Special Education, as well as a Diagnostic and Trainer at the Educational and Psychological Counseling Center A.
