The Ministry of Health and Community Safety has launched public awareness campaigns for early detection of hepatitis, in conjunction with World Hepatitis Day, which is taking place on July 28. of each year, in accordance with the World Health Organization.

The ministry's campaigns are aimed at educating citizens and residents about the dangers of hepatitis A, B and C, through free medical examinations and the distribution of awareness flyers on methods of transmission, methods of prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

The department's annual campaigns with the WHO targets for hepatitis 2030 concern 90% of people infected with the hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C for screening purposes and 80% of eligible patients receive treatment and reduce mortality by 65% ​​through, inter alia, awareness raising, strengthening partnerships and resources, formulating policies and evidence, developing plans and prevention programs and extension of screening, care and treatment services.
