As part of its strategy to promote the sustainability of local food diversity, the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Dubai World Central Corporation (South Dubai) at the Dubai headquarters to promote and support the development of agricultural production.
The Memorandum of Understanding is enshrined in the ministry's desire to strengthen strategic partnerships, coordinate efforts to develop agricultural land production as a food resource and as a key element of the promotion of local dietary diversity and its contribution to economic development.
The memo was signed by Mr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zaidi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and by Khalifa Suhail Al Zafin, General Manager of Dubai South.
