Egypt and the UAE agree on a mechanism for exporting agricultural crops

Egypt and the United Arab Emirates agreed on a mechanism for the import and export of fresh fruits and vegetables between the two countries

The Minister of Agriculture Agriculture said in a statement that a set of import and export procedures will be implemented. In the event that a shipment of Egyptian vegetables or fruits exported to the UAE is refused, the offending exporter and the Egyptian quarantine notification must be notified by the official point of contact and provided with the required documents, including : phytosanitary certificate and laboratory analysis.

He explains that if the offense is repeated, the offending exporter will be suspended for six months and the counterfeit product will be returned at the expense of the exporter and if the exporter refuses to bear costs, it will be prohibited to export definitively for six months. The minister said the two sides called for taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of agricultural products traded between the two countries, thus facilitating and facilitating the movement of trade for exports and imports.

This took place during a meeting between the Egyptian Minister and Jumaa Mubarak Al-Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss ways to intensify cooperation in agriculture between the two parties .
