UAE Steel has signed a contract to supply iron ore with the Brazilian company Valle, the world's largest producer of iron ore concentrates, which will supply part of its iron oxide needs from this year up to the end of the year. in 2021.

Saeed Ghamran Al Rumaithi, CEO of Emirates Steel Company, and Peter Bobbinga, CEO of Vale, signed the contract in the presence of senior officials from both companies.

The annual iron ore requirement, which is the raw material of the company's products, is estimated at 6 million tonnes and is imported through international companies, including the Brazilian company, which marks the beginning of their cooperation for the first time. year 2007.
