A field in the Mediterranean produces 3.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day in 2019.
Italy's largest oil field, the largest in the Mediterranean, is the largest discovered deposit in the Mediterranean, overtaking the Leviatan deposit in Israel, the Italian company Eni said on Saturday.
The company said in a newspaper that oil field production in the Mediterranean Sea would reach 3.2 billion cubic feet of gas a day by 2019, thanks to the use of the latest technologies in field development.

According to the Italian company, the initial estimate of the field was 2.7 billion feet of gas per day, it increased in September to reach 3 billion feet, then by the end of 2019, it reached 3.2 billion feet a day.
Egypt's natural gas production reached 6 billion cubic feet per day in July, while Eni discovered a field appeared in 2015, estimated at 30 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Over the last three years, Egypt has succeeded in creating new gas discoveries and entering into new agreements in the Mediterranean that would turn Egypt into a regional energy trading center, the latest being the new ones. fields located in the western Delta, north of Alexandria.
