The Brazilian club Flamengo is looking to restore playmaker Rodriguez of the Egyptian Pyramids team at the next transfer.
Rodriguez went from Corinthians last summer to Pyramids for 6 million euros.
The Brazilian daily Globo Sport has announced that the end of Flamengo's dream of winning the national title would prompt him to want to rebuild the team.
Flamengo will lose central defender Lucas Pacita in a few days and should join AC Milan during the winter transfer period for 35 million euros. He will face Atletico Paranensei.
He could also lose Diego's point guard, who is set to move to Santos in January, despite his contract with Flamengo until next summer.
According to the report, Flamengo makes a $ 5 million offer to join Rodriguez, the game leader of the Egyptian Pyramids team, who has been away for only six months.
Whatever the outcome of the club elections next week, the offer will be ready, as the two administrations vying for the club presidency want to join Rodriguez.
Rodolfo Landem, the club's candidate, is also in contact with the player's agents.
Rodriguez has played 10 games with the Pyramids this season, including 9 in the league and one in the Egyptian Cup, during which he did not score.
