The Council for the Future of Morality, Values and Innovation, at its meeting at the third session of the World Future Councils in Dubai, stressed that it was important to establish ethical harmonization in various aspects of future technological development.
The Council aims to reach a global consensus on best practices and requirements to promote the best possible compatibility of technology with the aspirations of society and the collective vision of a sustainable and global future.
Board members emphasized that values and ethics should be an integral part of the technology development process and examined how technology affects people's behavior and practices and how technology reaches systems that affect society. Will contribute to the "humanization" of the directions of business leaders, engineers and investors and to the formation of a system of collaborative process between institutions, decision makers and social leaders at the service of the community of public interest.
The Board considered fundamental and practical mechanisms for ethical harmonization, such as responsible research and design value, and emphasized the importance of extending the concept of technological development to the early stages such as: programs, project values, organizational culture, etc.
The Government of the United Arab Emirates, in partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF), will hold the third meeting of future councils under the high patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and sovereign of Dubai, bringing together more than 700 scientists. The future of vital sectors to develop practical solutions to their challenges.
