Japanese oil refiners will likely stop charging Iranian crude oil by mid-September unless the government is exempted from US sanctions to allow continued imports, according to the Association Japanese oil.
Takashi Tsukuka, who also heads Edemitsu Kusan told reporters that the latest Iranian oil imports could take place in the first half of October before the reimposition of US sanctions on Tehran.
He added that Japan had significantly reduced its imports of Iranian oil. (Reuters)
