This comes at a time when the Ministry of Agriculture is applying "strict instructions and takes a set of measures to ensure the safety of Jordan's agricultural product, whether it is supplier of the domestic or external market (export)" .
"The UAE has imposed strict conditions on the import of these materials from Jordan, adding that Jordanian fruits and vegetables are exported to more than one country without any objection or objection from these countries. country, "said Al Ghad sources of fruit and vegetables.
"The agricultural products exported come either from the central market of vegetables and fruits, or from farmers, identical products sold to the citizen," they said.
"If the first violation of pesticide residues is registered, a warning will be given to the wrongful exporters as soon as the notification is received from the United Arab Emirates," says the Jordanian memorandum based in the United Arab Emirates.
He also stated that "in case of recurrence of the same product from the same source, the exporter is prevented within three months from exporting the counterfeit product for a period of six months by Jordan on the basis of the notification received from the United Arab Emirates and informs the United Arab Emirates of the measures taken ".
It also states that "in the case of repeated shipments of several crops by the same source, the offending exporter can no longer supply all products to the UAE market for a period of six months from the Jordan, on the basis of a notification from the latter ".
The memo stated that all exporters should be informed of the start of the implementation of these procedures as of November 1, the day before yesterday.
"The agricultural products sold to citizens in the central market are the same as those exported to more than one country, including the UAE," said Suleiman Al-Hayari, president of the Union of Exporters' Trade Union. agricultural products. On the other hand, a member of the union of vegetable and fuq exporters Ziad Chalafawi said that "the exporters have nothing to do with the subject of agricultural pesticides and their impact on vegetables and fruits", explaining that "the control of the use of agricultural pesticides and their registration are the exclusive domain of the Ministry of Agriculture".
