The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent Society (ERCS) has organized a convoy of humanitarian aid to the population of Asad al-Jabal and its environs in Wadi Shkhoi, in the governorate of Hadramaout. The relief convoy included baskets of food, clothing and blankets as part of the United Arab Emirates' humanitarian efforts to help needy families affected by Hurricane "Laban", which caused suffering to more than 500 families as a result of the floods that stormed them and cut off all the roads leading to the valley Their homes and their movements in high places.
The aid, which included 100 food baskets for 500 affected families, as well as 50 blankets and clothing, was particularly important for hundreds of families stranded in the valley. The United Arab Emirates Red Crescent team was able to overcome impetuous roads and introduce humanitarian aid as a first aid for the affected area. Alleviate their suffering, which has left severe poverty and a bitter reality for families who are not able to provide their daily strength because of the hurricane that has turned their village into a disaster zone.

The number of food baskets distributed since the beginning of the year 2018 was 23,336 baskets. In the governorate of Hadramout, 116,680 disadvantaged and damaged families were targeted.
