The Dubai Port and Customs Corporation and the Free Zone have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi General Administration of Customs to cooperate and strengthen the partnership in the areas of law enforcement and regulations, the exchange of experiences and the use of the best technologies and innovative solutions to ensure the development of the working procedures of both parties.
The agreement was signed by Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DP World Group, President of the Corporation of Ports, Customs and Free Zones and Rashid Lahigh Al Mansouri, General Manager of the General Administration of Customs of Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Ahmed Mahboub Musabeh. Dubai, Nadia Al Kamali, Executive Director of Customs International, and Mubarak Matar Al Mansouri, Executive Director, Customs Operations Sector, General Administration of Customs, Abu Dhabi.
The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation, joint efforts, joint efforts, the unification of mutual benefits, to provide added value to customers in the delivery of services and to facilitate procedures, and to develop innovative services that improve the customer base and increase the return on investment in the UAE.
The memo also aims to exchange institutional knowledge and institutional compatibility between the two parties, to improve the administrative efficiency and to develop the skills of the human framework.
Sultan Bin Sulayem said the agreement aimed to reinforce the importance of concerted efforts among local governments, semi-governmental sectors and the private sector in the country.

He underlined the concern of the Customs Directorate of Abu Dhabi, through the MoU, to support and encourage economic growth through cooperation in the application of innovative best practices in customs matters.
