At a time when many people had the thesis that the Earth was flat, NASA released a new video taken by one of its satellites, proving its sphere.
The superb video was captured by a camera installed in the "DSCOVR" observatory of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, which monitors the Earth at approximately 1,160,934 kilometers (1,500 km ) of the sun.
This distance means that the camera can observe all the land from sunrise to sunset.
The EPIC camera records an average of one image per hour in summer and one image every two hours in winter.
"Given the particular benefit of EPAC and its repeated observations, we are able to observe the daily part of the daily cycle of many phenomena," said Alexander Marshak, deputy director of project.
