"The FIFA Ethics Committee has taken note of the immediate resignation of Mr. Sundra Rajo from his position as Vice-President of the Judiciary Chamber," the IFRC said in a statement.
Raju was arrested a week ago in Malaysia on his return from Zurich, where FIFA is based. According to local media reports, Malaysian anti-corruption authorities accuse him of having exploited his position to divert funds for personal gain.
In its statement, the International Federation said that she had been suspended since November 21, the day the media revealed her arrest.
The International Federation sparked a major corruption scandal that began on May 27, 2015 and resulted in the arrest of senior officials of the World Football Organization in Zurich, at the request of the US judiciary. The Swiss judiciary has opened more than 20 proceedings against several officials, including former FIFA president Joseph Blatter and his former French secretary general, Jérôme Falk.
