MOSCOW (Reuters) – Moscow has formally filed a civil suit against Google and could collect up to 700,000 rubles ($ 10,450) for failure to comply with a legal duty to remove certain content from its engine results of research, announced the Russian telecommunications regulator.
The agency said Google had not joined a government registration system listing banned websites that Moscow says contain illegal information.
The final decision in the case against Google will be made in December, the agency said.
