The German airline Lufthansa has announced the appointment of Sadek Mohammed as General Manager of the Lufthansa Group Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, from July 15, 2018. will be responsible for the commercial activities and sales of all companies including Air Austria, Lufthansa and SWISS in the Egyptian market. Sadiq Mohammed will be overseen by Frank Van Deen Stein, Sales Director, Lufthansa Group for the North Africa, Near East and Turkey markets.
Sadeq Mohammed, 41, takes up his new position with long experience during his long years of Aviation management. He began his career with the group in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1997 and has since held several management positions in various Middle Eastern countries.
In 2008, Sadiq Mohammed headed the Lufthansa Service Center in the United Arab Emirates for four years and was then Regional Director of Development. Business and marketing in the UAE and the Gulf Group. More recently, Mohammed has been responsible for business and market development in the Gulf, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan since March 2015, until his appointment to his new position
