Abu Dhabi – Sky News Arabia Sony was unable to secure a place among leading smartphone manufacturers, but managed to occupy a leading position in the field of sensor manufacturing with smart phone cameras.
Monday said that he was able to create a sensor that outperforms other competitors by a large margin.
The new sensor, called CMOS MX586, captures images at a resolution of 48 megapixels.
The highest resolution smartphone has been registered as the "Huawei P20", which has a sensor with a resolution of up to 40 megapixels.
Sony is expected to begin shipping samples of the IMX586 to a number of companies since September 2018, to enter the market early 2019.
This sensor will help other smartphones to overcome the problem imaging with extremely low lighting conditions. Small Sensors
Many smart phone companies use sensors made by Sony, including Apple, so it's not unlikely that new iPhone phones carry this sensor.
