The Carthage Film Days begin today

The 29th edition of the Carthage Film Festival, which will bring together 206 films from 47 countries, will take place today in Tunis and will host many Arab stars such as Abed Fahad, Amal Arfa, Laila Alawi, Mona Shalabi and all the stars Tunisians abroad such as Hind Sabri, Zafer El Abidine and Dora. Mohammed Shukri Jamil, Faisal Al Yasiri and Qais Al-Zubaidi are three of Iraq's leading filmmakers, three artists having left the scene this year: Egyptian artist Jameel Rateb, Egyptian producer and writer Attiyat Al-Abnoudi and the director and director Najwa Salama.

4 competitions

The festival includes four official competitions: the feature film competition, which includes 13 films, the short film competition, which includes 12 films, the documentary film competition, which includes 11 films, and the documentary short film competition, which includes 8. The film "Under the Microscope" will be screened for Iraqi, Senegalese, Brazilian and Indian films. 18 films (9 feature films and 9 short films) will be screened in this program. Senegal will participate in 13 films (9 feature films and 4 short films). Hindi in 8 films and Brazil in 12 films.

Jury

The jury was composed of six directors and producers, including Lebanese Damoun Abu Oboud, Tunisian Reza Bahi, Palestinian Mai Masri and Guinean Mimouna Ndiaye.

The jury for the documentary film competition is directed by Palestinian producer Raed Andoni.
