The Saudi Sports Authority has announced the postponement of Rafael Nadal's match, Serbian Novak Djokovic, because of the injury suffered by the former.
"The General Authority of Sport announces the postponement of the final of the King Salman Tennis Cup between the stars of the match Rafael Nadal Novak Djokovic, which was to take place in Jeddah on December 22
He added: "This delay comes from the injury suffered recently by tennis star Nadal and has undergone an operation that requires a period of rehabilitation that goes against the deadline for the establishment of this grand finale.
"As a result, the General Sports Authority will announce the new date of this final, sincerely wishing the speedy recovery of the great tennis star Nadal."
Novak Djokovic, world number one, confirmed that the match scheduled for the match between him and the Spanish Rafael Nadal of December 22 in Saudi Arabia had been canceled.
