The national football team ranks 109th in the world and 19 in Asia, according to the ranking released Thursday by the International Football Association (FIFA).
The team collected 1196 points against 1189 in the previous standings, taking advantage of its 2-1 win over India and tied with Saudi Arabia 1-1.
Belgium remains at the top of the standings ahead of France and Croatia, while Iran remains at the top of the Asian continent followed by Australia and Japan.
The team will enter the Asia Cup on January 6 in 2019, playing in the second group alongside Australia, Syria and Palestine.
