The opening of specialized clinics at Al-Gomhouria hospital in Aden

After rehabilitation and restoration with the support of the United Arab Emirates Red Crescent, Al-Gomhouria Hospital opened on Sunday morning specialized outpatient clinics.

Dr. Tarek Mzaida, deputy director of Jumhuriya Hospital, said: The opening of specialized outpatient clinics represents a major step in the development of medical services and the provision of health care to inpatients.

He pointed out that the Republic Hospital provides health services in Aden and neighboring provinces and that it is considered an important landmark of historical monuments of Aden, such as refineries and the reservoirs of Sira Castle and Aden.

He added that the opening of new specialized clinics in the areas of heart, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, brain and neurology would be done daily and regularly.

He explained that specialized outpatient clinics were receiving 3,450 cases per day from all specialties and would soon open the Center's specialty departments.

Said Al Kaabi, director of humanitarian operations for the United Arab Emirates in Yemen, said: "This support is testimony to the strength of the distinguished fraternal relations between Yemen and the United Arab Emirates.

He highlighted the considerable efforts made by the UAE to raise the level of health and provide health care in the form required to citizens who visit the Republic Hospital and wish to strengthen and develop all areas.

Dr. Mzaida thanked the UAE Red Crescent for its generous support in helping the hospital to provide many medical devices that will allow a leap forward in the field of medical services.
