The youth team from Saudi Arabia received a warm welcome after arriving in Saudi Arabia after the culmination of the UN Under-19 Championship.

The delegation was greeted by members of the Saudi Football Federation led by Qusay al-Fawaz.

"I congratulate the leaders for this achievement … and these heroes represent the dream team," said the president of the Saudi Football Federation.

Saudi Arabia's Under-19 team crowned the Asian Youth Cup on Sunday for the third time in its history, following a 2-1 victory over South Korea in the Indonesia tournament final.

The Saudi team waited just two minutes for Turki Al-Ammar to open the scoring as he fired a shot from South Korean goalkeeper Al-Ammar in net goal, Reuters reported.

Khalid Al Ghannam scored the second goal with a shot from the edge of the box in the 44th minute, but Cho Yong-wook cut the gap in the 64th minute from the penalty mark.

The Saudi team won its first Asian title in 1986 and repeated its feat in 1992.

Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Qatar and Japan have qualified for the Under-20 World Cup, which will be organized by Poland next year.
