A four-year-old lion was attacked in a mobile circus in southern Russia, seriously wounding it, today announced the Russian authorities.
The accident occurred in the village of Ospinskoy, in the Krasnodar region, 1250 km south of Moscow.
According to images broadcast by Russian television citing amateur goals, the lion suddenly turned to a girl who was watching the show.
She was taken to hospital for injuries, said the Russian investigation.

A local official told RIA Novosti that Assad had not bitten the girl, but had rather hit her with his claw.
